The long awaited third volume of the series devoted to cataloguing Dutch and Flemish paintings in Italian public collections is dedicated to Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta.

The Dutch Institute for Art History in Florence is in the process of cataloguing over 10.000 paintings, of these at least 3000 are to be considered outstanding works of art, little known to both the public and the art specialist.
This major work of research is being documented in a series of nine volumes, divided by region, each richly illustrated.
