Notes on the 17th-century reliquary of the right arm of Saint John the Baptist of Siena cathedral

Elisabetta Cioni
The paper examines the 17th-century reliquary of the right arm of Saint John the Baptist (a relic donated to Siena cathedral on 6 May 1464 by Pius II, who had received it from Thomas Palaiologos, despot of the Morea), focusing particularly on documents relating to the work, executed between 1609 and 1613, and its authors Giovannangelo Fantozzi and Lattanzio Balestri.
