Cultual-theatrical Performance on a Skyphos of the Archaic Period

The subject of the study is an Attic black-figure skyphos that has long been the object of scholarly attention. An attempt is made to resolve some remaining uncertainties and arrive at a highly probable reconstruction of the scene represented, which seems to refer to the earliest performances of ancient drama.
